The anedoctes of Comic Con Experience

It is remarkable that an event by and for geeks can have an impact huge enough to warrant the attention of most people in the entire world. The San Diego Comic Con is, today, an event that atracts coverage from all of over the world, despite being “just” about comics, TV series and movies.

An event of such magnitude ends up being copied all over the world, and that is to be expected. Brazil’s “copy” is produced by a Brazilian geek news site, “Omelete”, and takes the name of Comic Con Experience (A.K.A CCXP) and, between the 3rd and 5th of December, just had its second edition, in São Paulo. Despite not having gone last year, this year both me and my father (a huge comicbook fan) had the idea of seeing the event at first hand. Also, a friend of mine, who is more into manga than regular comics, had the same idea. As a result, the three of us set out for CCXP for its final two days. Continue reading
